Ready to Go

Written by Paul Ustanny on . Posted in Education and Certification, My Work

This is my first post here on my work blog at paul.ustanny.com. I’ve been planning to do this for a while, however I’m just getting around to it. The truth is, I have never had the time to pay much attention to my personal projects while working on full-time contracts because I get so focused on what I’m doing (lost in my work) that I ignore everything else (unfortunately), including my education, family, friends, etc. However, I’m trying to change that. Going forward, I would like to be more balanced in whatever I do.

At this point in time, I’m feeling really good as I have achieved a lot in the last three weeks since I started working on my personal projects again. The websites for my sole trader marketing support business, ADS Print and Web and my Musician’s Blog are up again after being offline for over a year. In addition, I have totally revamped the administrative systems and processes I use to manage my web resources and assets, including the creation of a brand new Web Administration Database.

In terms of education, I took a break from my studies at the University College of the Caribbean (UCC), however I completed my QuickBooks Pro User Certification and am now studying to complete the HootSuite Social Media Certification – hopefully I can complete this by the end of this month. I will then complete the Advanced Social Media Strategy Certificate at S.I. Newhouse School Of Public Communications and move on to the Music Business Professional Certificate at Berklee College of Music

I want to say “Thank You” to all the people who have been in my corner throughout this rough patch and all my friends who continue to motivate and inspire me. Stay focused while navigating the seas of your careers and professional exploits! 🙂
